Futures barely in the green

Stock index futures are marginally higher ahead of another busy day of earnings reports. In a sizable deal, Bayer is buying Merck's consumer care unit - home to Claritin, Afrin, and Coppertone, among other brands - for $14.2B.

Europe's about flat with Barclays up and UBS down after each reported Q1 results. Asia was little-changed overnight.

The 10-year Treasury yield is up one basis point at 2.62% and gold is off $2 per ounce to $1,307.
