Yahoo buys Snapchat rival Blink

  • The deal for undisclosed terms comes days after Snapchat settled FTC charges accusing it of deceiving customers by promising photos sent on its service disappeared forever after a certain amount of time.
  • Yahoo (YHOO) has yet to comment on the purchase, which was announced on the Blink website, but the deal is the latest in a number of small, mobile start-ups acquired since Marissa Mayer took the helm.
  • Snapchat, of course, famously rejected a $3B purchase offer from Facebook late last year.

Bend over and BLINK. Whatsup with Mayer.....too much cash due to ABABA

Yahoo didn't want shares to sink so they withheld the purchase price ?

Amazing facts of the last one hundred years:

1910- "Radio boxes" produce voices "from the air!"

1920- Henry Ford creates an automotive monopoly that will last forever.

1958- The three giants ABC, NBC and CBS will always control broadcasting.

1969- The moon landing signals a great U.S. future in outer space.

1995- The "World Wide Web" will always be controlled by Microsoft.

2010- The internet behemoth Google establishes permanent dominance?...

2013 - 2014- Facebook establishes permanent dominance? tries and fails to buy SnapChat for three billion; buys WhatsApp for nineteen billion... buys a fleet of drones to beam the internet to nomadic tribes; puts on a virtual reality helmet and buys the company...

Oops... I guess this all means Yahoo! is wasting its time with the "turnaround?" What is that silly Marissa Mayer doing buying Blink? Another wild shopping spree?

I wonder if that goofy Mayer spent nineteen billion on Blink?

She likely traded Yahoo's stake in ABABA so as to avoid using any cash reserves.
