Perry raises Herbalife, eBay holdings

Perry Capital has increased its holding in Herbalife (HLF) to 4.8M shares at the end of March from 3M in December, giving the New York hedge fund a 4.9% stake.

The move comes despite Herbalife being under investigation in the U.S. over whether it's a pyramid scheme.

Perry also raised its stake in eBay (EBAY) to almost 2M shares from 500,00, and it upped the amount of call options it holds in the auctions Web site.

This shouldn't surprise anyone with any knowledge of MLMs and business in general. MLMs are so misunderstood that even Harvard guys like Ackman will lose a billion before its over or he will cover as he has done with half of it already.

Again.... that excepted, how on earth (all parts of it) are the likes of high school kids, the illiterate, the physical and mentally challenged, the financially unsophisticated the poor, even teachers, accountants, doctors, government personnel etc, supposed to understand MLM so as to be able to come to an informed decision when, by your admission, "Cestlavie,"…. "that even "Harvard guys" don't understand MLM."

Of course if everyone did understand MLM there would be no MLM.

Yep, H4M, been accused of being a communist many times for attempting to help fellow citizens and trying to have our laws enforced.

A democracy passes for the most part, excellent laws to protect its citizens, when these laws are ignored by crooks, cops and government regulators and one seeks to correct the situation they are branded, among other abhorrent things, a communist.

Sounds like more Herbalife “distributor” desperation

Contrary to what 'pytiz' and 'Cestlavie' steadfastly pretend to be reality, maths can be used to deceive well-educated people and our world has always been full of very well-educated people, but who are completely devoid of all common sense.

In support of this axiomatic statement, like many well-educated people (including the compilers of dictionaries), 'pytiz' and 'Cestlavie' don't seem to have a common sense understanding of the highly-significant difference between what is precise and what is accurate.
In simple terms, Bernie Madoff's bedazzling 'investor statements' were always mathematically precise, but they were in no way an accurate representation of quantifiable reality.

Unfortunately, in the adult world of quantifiable reality, and in the final analysis, a 60% (or even a 60 thousand %) stake-increase in 'Herbalife' (a reality-inverting corporate-front for a cultic racket which has, therefore, always been worth effectively-nothing at all) represents nothing at all.

The fact that the bedazzling pieces of paper, printed 'Herbalife Share Certificates,' are still being traded, is a testament to the shameful, and shameless, state of moral, and intellectual, bankruptcy previously manifest in successive governments of the American Republic and in the higher levels of its so-called 'law enforcement agencies.'

The question now is not will 'Herbalife/ MLM' be closed-down?, but whether the USA is an authentic democracy protecting the noble concept of 'government of the people, by the people, for the people,' or a de facto kleptocracy - a sham democracy shielding an ignoble reality: i.e. government of racketeers, by racketeers, for racketeers?

Blame-the-victim 'income opportunity' racketeering might even go down in history as an important test of democracy, and the rule of law, in the USA. However, it all depends on the current calibre of leadership of the American Republic.

Hopefully, America will finally choose to re-establish the rule of law and protect not only its people, but the people of the world.

    Hi Frank,

"...I don't care who is on the other side of the trade..."

Isn't that very close to what Custer said just before he attacked the Indian Village at Little Big Horn?

I would love to buy one, how much? Oh and if I spent over $20.00 shipping is free correct? Unlike Herbalife's shipping!

When Herbalife is cleared of being a pyramid scheme, I wonder if there would be liable for a tshirt like that....

But on another note.... I have to say, I've never seen so many negative people track an issue UNPAID for so long. It just doesn't make sense......

Perry Capital is one of several big money names on the long side. That's very bullish! My question is who are the top 5 investors with Bill Ackman on the short side?? Is there anyone else joining Ack on the short side with money invested short HLF? If yes, who?
