Stock futures bouncing; lots of Fed ahead

Stocks look for an early bounce from yesterday's losses, as investors await minutes from the April FOMC meeting; S&P and Dow +0.4%, Nasdaq +0.3%.

Retailers are in the spotlight after suffering a beating in the previous session; Tiffany (+7.1%) and Target (+0.7%) are higher after issuing quarterly results, but PetSmart (-6.4%) and Lowe's (-0.9%) are lower premarket.

Minutes from the latest Fed meeting will be posted at 2 p.m. ET, which could offer signs that the current path of policy might change, but few expect any market-moving news.

It's also a busy day for Fed speeches, with Yellen, Dudley, George and Kocherlakota all expected to be heard from today.

Treasurys are near their lows to start the session; the benchmark 10-year yield is nearly 3 bps higher at 2.54%.
