- Warner Bros. (TWX) has set a title for its Batman meets Superman movie which begins filming this month - deciding to call the highly-anticipated film Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
- Some media analysts think Warner execs missed a golden opportunity by letting Disney (DIS) getting the jump on them with it launching the Avengers franchise before Justice League films could roll out. The studio preferred to set the back stories as opposef to Disney's strategy of launching stand-alones off the tentpole.
- The second Avengers film premieres on May 1, 2015 - while Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice is slated for a May 6, 2016 release.
