FT: Cavalli in discussions to sell majority holding in fashion house

Roberto Cavalli is in talks to sell a majority stake in his Italian fashion brand to Bahrain-based private-equity group Investcorp after negotiations for a deal with Permira fell through, the FT reports.

Cavalli could be willing to sell if his company is valued at €450M, including debt, or over 15 times EBITDA.

A transaction would be the latest in a series of deals in the Italian luxury brand, such as Blackstone acquiring a 20% holding in Versace in February.
