Wal-Mart navigates store closings in China

Wal-Mart (WMT) is under pressure from local politicians in China to settle a labor dispute at a store the company plans to close.

Employees want double the severance that the Bentonville giant has offered up.

The company has closed 20 stores already in China as part of a broad plan to shut down as many as 30 stores.

What to watch: Wal-Mart has had its share of public relations flaps in China and is likely to settle the labor dispute before it gains steam.
