Energous +14.8% on partnership with mobile parts supplier

Energous (WATT) has signed a joint development agreement (JDA) with Korean mobile parts supplier Dong-Hwa (counts Samsung and LG among its clients) to embed its WattUp wireless charging receivers within its smartphone case assemblies.

Energous, which still doesn't have any revenue, has already signed a JDA with Korean Wi-Fi phone/4G router maker Hanbit Electronics to embed WattUp receivers within its products.

The company expects WattUp to be "commercially available to licensees" in Q4, and estimates licensees will take 18-24 months to "deliver consumer products to market."

Shares are once more up over 2x from their $6 March IPO price.
