Amazon's (AMZN) steady addition of new features (I, II) to its web services platform (AWS) is making customers nervous, claims Barb Darrow. By adding features that take in large amounts of customer data and/or make it harder to move code to another platform, AWS is raising fears of customer lock-in. Rackspace (RAX) and other supporters of OpenStack are probably glad to hear that.
