- Amazon (AMZN) has announced it's holding a June 18 launch event.
- There have been multiple reports (I, II, III) stating Amazon is prepping one or more smartphones. The WSJ reported in April Amazon plans to show off a smartphone featuring a 3D display (enabled by 4 front-facing cameras) in June, and start selling it by the end of September.
- Also: A May 29 BuzzFeed report stated Amazon is set to launch a streaming music service for Prime subs (will offer access to songs at least 6 months old) in June or July.
- Update: A teaser video suggests a mobile/handheld device is in the cards.
