Pilgrim's Pride gives up the fight for Hillshire Brands

  • Pilgrim's Pride (PPC) withdraws its proposal to buy Hillshire Brands (HSH) after seeing Tyson Foods come in over the top of its $55-per-share offer.
  • The company says it was in the best interest of shareholders to end the bidding war.

    Pilgrims board did the right thing
    Price got to lofty and they had the sense and discipline to its just too much .
    I think Tyson will regret paying this price. I know there shareholders will
