Violin Memory names a new chairman

Richard N. Nottenburg, a private tech investor/management consultant and Violin (VMEM) director since February, is the flash storage vendor's new chairman. Violin has also appointed First Solar COO Georges Antoun to its board.

Prior chairman Howard Bain III has stepped down, and so has director/tech exec Jeff Newman.

Violin named a new CEO in February, and has seen plenty of other post-IPO management changes as it tries to end an ongoing sales slump.
