Futures point to small opening loss

Major average index futures are lower by about 0.15% following yesterday's minor gains to start the week.

Most of Europe is edging higher, but London's FTSE is lower by 0.4%. Shanghai was the big gainer in Asia with a 1.1% advance, but the Nikkei slipped 0.9%.

The 10-year Treasury yield is up three basis points to 2.63% (continuing to trade with a higher yield than the government debt of Spain) and gold is flat at $1,254 per ounce.
