- Kinder Morgan Partners (KMP +1.2%) says it plans to build an additional 50K deadweight ton liquefied natural gas conversion-ready product carrier under an expanded contract with General Dynamics (GD).
- The tanker will be built as a sister tanker to four other tankers under construction at GD's NASSCO shipyard in San Diego.
- Construction is expected to begin in Q4 2015, with delivery expected in Q2 2017.
