Terrorism suspected in Ukraine pipeline blast

A day after Gazprom (OGZPY) cut off gas supply to Ukraine in a dispute over pricing, a major pipeline exploded in central Ukraine which carries gas from Russia to many destinations in Europe.

Ukrainian officials are still investigating the explosion, although many are suspecting a terrorist attack based on preliminary reports.

However, gas flow was not not interrupted, as supplies to Europe were rerouted to alternate pipes.

Tensions between separatists and the new government are escalating as Ukrainian forces attempt to slowly retake control of its eastern border.
