FSC has been a very poor performer. Doesn't cover dividend. MAIN has much higher quality.

JPZ - I also follow BDC Buzz' articles and if you look at the one you attached, FSC did not cover actual dividends in the previous quarter. Per Buzz' analysis he predicts it should cover dividends per his modeling.

Actual results obviously need high consideration in addition to future forecasting.

It also depends on whether a person trades based on past results or future predictions...or both, and what timeframe they use to view each.

A degree in economics and understanding of the macro forces at work in the equity markets guides my judgment. Also adapting The law of Supply and Demand to assessing the positive and negative forces gives one a better view of what could actually happen. However, the future is unpredictable. As long as interest rates remain low and the huge amount of money, corporate and personal, lays dormant there should not be a correction greater than 5-10% and then an opportunity to purchase. And do not forget the rising world middle class.
As a retired person have the time to read, think and define what is happening. To predict the trend of an individual equity is a difficult task but not impossible.
