QEP Resources files for potential spinoff of midstream business

• QEP Resources (QEP) says its midstream oil field services business filed a registration statement for a potential spinoff, although QEP continues to solicit and evaluate "proposals for alternative transactions."
• The spinoff, to be called Entrada Midstream, provides natural gas gathering, processing and transportation services and natural gas liquids fractionation and transportation in the Green River Basin in Wyoming and Colorado and the Uinta Basin in Utah.
