American Apparel fires up shareholder rights plan

American Apparel (APP) adopts a one-year stockholder rights plan designed to prevent ousted CEO Dov Charney from gaining increased control in the company.

Charney has disclosed a plan to grab more shares through funds loaned to him by Standard General.
