Delta Air Lines slides after revenue metric disappoints

Delta Air Lines (DAL -4.8%) reports passenger revenue per available seat mile rose 4.5% in June. Expectations for the metric were higher for the month.

The carrier notes capacity increases in the industry and lower Latin America business demand due to the World Cup impacted results.

Q2 guidance from Delta is for operating margin of 14%-16% and for a 6% gain in passenger unit revenue.
