Gazprom (OGZPY) appoints Yelena Burmistrova as new head of its export business unit, replacing Alexander Medvedev, who had been in charge of exports for more than a decade.

Burmistrova joined Gazprom in 2003 and became Medvedev's deputy in 2011, overseeing liquefied natural gas and new gas markets.

Pres. Putin met Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller and Burmistrova yesterday to discuss the company's eastbound projects, including the execution of Russia's massive gas project with China and work with other foreign partners.
