The Fed confirms no raise to interest rates

The Fed confirmed its view yesterday to not to raise its interest rates, in order to keep a safeguard on avoiding future financial crises. Fed chairwomen Janet Yellen issued the forceful comments at an IMF meeting in Washington, also stating she first favors regulation and supervision to make the financial system more resistant against potential disturbances.

"I do not presently see a need for monetary policy to deviate from a primary focus on attaining price stability and maximum employment, in order to address financial stability concerns," says Yellen.
