GM's new transmission defect recall

The auto woes for GM (GM) continue, as the company announces its latest recall affecting Spark cars in South Korea. The automaker is recalling 27k vehicles due to a defective transmission mount.

The Spark is also sold in the U.S. and Europe, although a GM Korea spokesman says "the cars exported to the U.S. will not be affected by the recall, and the company is considering whether to take proper action in other markets such as Europe."

The total count for GM recalls this year has reached 29M.

So far the more than 50 recalls involving 29 million defective GM cars has pretty much been confined to the United States.

We are more than mildly curious: Surely the design and quality of GM cars and trucks is not vastly superior in Asia and Europe and South America. Will millions of GM vehicles elsewhere in the world soon be recalled as regulators and customers become aware of the massive consumer fraud and cover-up of deadly defects executed by GM executives and engineers for over a decade? And at what great cost to hapless GM shareholders? …funfun..

This nursery rhyme courtesy of Wikipedia:

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
All the king's horses + all the king's men
Could't put Humpty Dumpty together again.

Not really sure why we're seeing Humpty Dumpty. Doesn't apply to GM.

They, along with their customers and investors are are putting this recall behind them, with rising sales and margins. Show your conviction by shorting the stock and see what happens after they report earnings on the 24th.
