Honda includes California on air bag recall


Honda (HMC) has expanded its recall on vehicles containing the Takata (TKTDF) airbag defect to include California, one of the biggest markets for the automaker in the U.S. The company has also issued the recall for Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Texas.

    I live in NY, and it gets pretty Hot & Humid around here too.

     

    Not sure I would want to be driving one of these things with a grenade buried in the steering wheel in any state.

    One could only imagine the press & headlines, if it were GM that was just cherry picking the higher risk states (to save money) to recall steering wheel grenades, rather than simply just recalling all of them.

     

    But if GM recalled all of them, they would crucify them for that as well emphasizing the number of units recalled.

     

    I guess Honda must not think that people sometimes cross state lines with their cars.
