Millennial hires McKinsey vet to improve "operational effectiveness"

Millennial Media (MM) has hired Myles Presler, a 8-year veteran of consulting giant McKinsey, to be its SVP of business operations.

Presler will report to CEO Michael Barrett, and "work closely with senior leadership from each business unit to improve operational effectiveness."

Barrett might be open to some big operational changes in light of Millennial's recent performance. Last month, the company hired former Google mobile ad sales exec Marc Theermann to be its EVP of business strategy.

Seems that Barrett is surrounding himself with a strong team. However, they need to reign in the SGA expenses to bring this company into net earnings instead of losses. To go from stock price of $25 to mid-high $3s does not sit well with many investors. MM has a strong strategy and in the right market, but they have to be lean and mean to go against Google and Facebook now that they are direct competitors in their market. Hopefully Presler will take hold of the SGA line and get it into shape.
