Report: Mondelez to separate European cheese and grocery business

Mondelez International (MDLZ +2.4%) plans to create a stand-alone unit for its European cheese and grocery business, sources tell Bloomberg.

The action could set up Mondelez to sell or spinoff the business in the future.

Shares of MDLZ shot up immediately after the story broke.

MDLZ is combining their coffee business with a European company, who is going to own the new company? Is it going to be spun off to the shareholders or is MDLZ still going to own it with the other company, does anybody know?
