• Income before taxes of $174M vs. $134M a year ago. Adjusted EPS of $0.26 vs. $0.21 a year ago.
• Electronic Brokerage segment income before taxes of $131M up 7% Y/Y, with commissions and execution fees off 10% as volatility hung around historic lows for most of the quarter. Net interest income of $77M up 32%. Total DARTs of 529K up 5%. Customer accounts of 262K up 17%. Customer margin borrowings of $15.4B up 38%.
• Market Making segment income of $31M falls from $50M a year ago (after removing effects from currency translation), thanks to those low vols.
