Local.com (LOCM +1.9%) gains after Ladenburg Thalmann initiates it with a Buy rating in anticipation of strong 2012 performance on both revenue and earnings growth. Ladenburg says revenues in 2012 will reach $112.5M, up 41% above calendar 2011, and there's considerable operational leverage in its business model for rapid growth.

Nice to see some analyst coverage on this, especially when comparing the the Yelp numbers. If they hit the numbers as anticipated, that $7.50 number will not be a problem. But they do need to overcome a history of under-delivering and insiders have invested next to nothing of their own money to date. Time for them to begin showing their confidence, otherwise it may just be business as usual.
