Mortgage rates remain near year's low

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 4.13% in the week ending July 24, unchanged from the prior week and just above the 4.12% low for the year hit three weeks ago, according to Freddie Mac's latest weekly survey.

The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.26%, up from 3.23% a week ago.

A year ago, the 30-year and 15-year rates averaged 4.31% and 3.39%, respectively.
