The new iPad (AAPL) is announced. In-line with expectations, the device features a retina display (2048x1536 resolution), 4G LTE support, and A5X processor - Apple boasts the quad-core chip is 4x as fast as Nvidia's (NVDA) Tegra 3. Also included is a 5MP "iSight" camera that possibly features an OmniVision (OVTI +2.3%) image sensor.

Apple's lead is now officially devastating. Vendors can barely squeeze out a profit on current tablets, how will they ever match iPad 3 specs and performance for the same price? No argument, the post PC era is here. Watch Dell slowly whimper off into the forest to die.

Still producing with slave labor and keeping the money in China to avoid taxes. A real American success story.

There is nothing new with iPad 3, it is just a hardware update.

It will be enormous, unquestionably. We will take our slavery and our stock profits in good humor.

The price dropped today just like last year at this time when the Ipad2 came out.
