- Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.A, RDS.B) says its Nigerian subsidiary has started oil production from the first well at its Bonga North West deepwater development, which is expected at peak production to contribute 40K boe/day to the Bonga development off the country's coast.
- The $3.6B Bonga project, which began producing oil and gas in 2005, was Nigeria’s first deepwater development in water deeper than 1K meters.
