  • BKE IS ONE GREAT COMPANY------I FIRST BECAME ACQUainted with Brass buckle in 1978.--At that time they had 7 stores. Dennis Nelson, current President, was still in college when he came and leased a location in Great Bend, Kansas, in a large building we were remodeling for 8-10 retail locations in an old downtown hotel. This was to be their 8th location in Great Bend, Kansas. We later bought a location in Garden City, Kansas for them and they leased it from us. It was their 11th location. What has happened since 1978 is truly the "american dream". They are a great retailer outpacing some of their larger competitors. No question they will remain the #1 retailer for the younger generation. They are great business people also, paying a nice 5% cash dividend once a year as well as growing there quarterly dividend to $0.20 per quarter. BKE is a long term winner for younger buyers but for intelligent investors alike. Dennis is now the CEO----may I say more---they are WINNERS!!!!
