AnandTech managed to get hold of a pre-release Intel (INTC) Ivy Bridge processor, and though it found the chip provides only a modest performance boost relative to current Sandy Bridge chips for many applications, benchmarks showed its graphics processor to be far superior. Ivy Bridge's graphics capabilities could spell additional share losses for Nvidia (NVDA) and AMD's discrete graphics chip businesses.

    The Modest performance improvements are just letting AMD get a CPU out that may be Equal to an Intel i7 CPU.

     

    The most interesting subject is the reduced power requirements, because in a heavy taxed enviroment(EU), you will invest in products that use less Energy.
