Minor recall for some 2015 model year Ford vehicles

Ford (F +0.5%) recalls 3K vehicles in North America in separate actions tied to potential issues with sliding doors, windshields, and brake hoses.

Some of the SUV and cargo vans being recalled are from the 2015 model year.

Ford's recall track record is better than the industry average this year.

Once again Ford acts quickly when potential problems are detected. Every day gives us the opportunity to improve.

Yes definitely F is improving their recall record. I'm aware of the recalls regarding their new Transit van (that is the mother car of the mini Transit Connect) has some minor recall issue. Also, recall on the Lincoln SUV (the small one). The bulletins on these recalls have reached dealerships and the techs are
taking care of the problems when the customers come in. Overall F has had a better track record than F competitors. I'm still bullish and confident that F stock will rebound and once again gain appreciation. Long F.

Yeah - I know. These will be inexpensive fixes that will create goodwill. Tesla is by far the most proactive car company in terms of reaching out to customers. If there is a problem, Tesla aggressively provides upgrades usually at no cost.

However Ford is doing everything it can to act preemptively when a potential for premature failure or sub-par performance. This is not indicative of a Ford special capability; it is a revelation which indicts those who fail to do the same.

Wow, people still drinking the kool-aid. You people realize that Ford led the recall race for over a decade before GM decided it wanted in the race. Maybe we could bring you to a Pinto burning or come over to the track and watch some Explorers roll-over. How many died it those? Anytime you think you're better than someone, irony steps forward and teaches you a lesson.

You have 26 new remodels coming out world wide over the next two years. I'm sure you'll replace GM as the recall "king" in auto sales.
