Mortgage rates edge lower, Freddie Mac says

The average rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage slipped to 4.12% from 4.14% a week ago, according to Freddie Mac's latest weekly survey.

The average rate for a 15-year fixed-rate mortgage fell to 3.24% from 3.27% in the prior week.

A year ago, the respective 30-year and 15-year rates were 4.40% and 3.44%.
