Recently had to redo a kitchen for some rental property... Made the mistake of buying from Lowes. Terrible service, a week of daily delivery battles, who knew what was going to be delivered when. No wonder HD is doing well.

I have several rental properties including one that needed bunch repairs when I bought it. Used HD for most of the work and was mostly pleased. Much of work is done by local contractors working for HD but scheduling, advice, etc were all pretty good.

exactly, the work was done by local contractors, but trying to get a single Lowes store to coordinate the delivery of a kitchen (cabinets, counter, fridge, range, tile, flooring, lights) was a nightmare. Thought since I was going cheap on it, with all stock products it would be a piece of cake.

Great numbers, in true Jack Welch form, especially given the anemic performance of competitors out there and no major weather disasters to boost revenues (like last year).

I used HD to entirely re-carpet a house I have in FL. Know it is dangerous to do business long distance but I did any way. There was a small hic-up with the installation as reported to me by my brother. The install was done by a local contractor. I called HD and they redid the entire job the next day! Love HD. And love the stock I bought at $21.00....

Aw, nobody goes to Home Depot anymore. The place is too crowded!

(a spin on a famous Yogi Berra line in case you didn't get it).

Very long HD. (and I shop there all the time)
