It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall in PIMCO's main office right now.

Apparently a lot of people share your sentiment - it's been announced that PIMCO has evacuated part of their New York offices due to an insect problem ;)

Yellen and her allies should be expected to strongly resist any increase in the overnight discount rate prior to the election. After it, who knows,.....

If the economy shows signs of overheating, especially utilization rates, it may get hard to hold the line on rates after October. The targeted end of H1 2015 seems less likely at the moment. I'd prefer to see a slow gradual ramp up, sooner, rather than wait too long, and then need to elevate rates too quickly.

The minutes show many committee members believing the labor market is improving faster than anticipated across a whole range of indicators, and the time is getting near for when it can no longer be described as underutilized

Maybe they are talking about their Banker Friends.

Market is returning to normal. The minutes note several improved economic indicators. A year ago, a good news report from the Fed would have sent the market into a tailspin. Today it's up.
