Futures mark time ahead of Yellen's Jackson Hole address

Stock index futures are marginally lower ahead of Janet Yellen's keynote address at the Jackson Hole conference set for 10 ET.

Europe is lower by nearly 1%, with boosted tension in Ukraine as good of an excuse as any for the move. Asia closed moderately higher overnight.

The 10-year Treasury yield is lower by two basis points to 2.39% and gold is up $7 per ounce to $1,282.

What nonsense is the old crone going to spout now? Neo-classical economics in the dock. Soon to be discredited wholesale as the global economy melts down.

She will say despite improving economy (!!), we will need patience before raising interest rates. Still bullish for stocks!

She will tell us that there is "no inflation" and that we need 2% inflation to grow...ha ha ha...Unemployment is 6% too, ha ha ha...So maybe we need to end "QE" as planned, but don't worry, we'll keep inflation under control...ha ha ha

This is designed to crush gold while the Treasury, and it's shills at Goldman and JPM try to buy as much as they can, to "cover" their paper shorts.

Its all a joke, this makes me sick to my stomach to see this structure they have built. While peoples lives are being ruined, they are sitting fat. While veterans cannot even get a proper surgery, they ensure their class can buy another Yacht. This is not envy of the rich, this is a structured system of the highest plunder ever conceived. I know many of you rich guys on SA are loving it, sociopaths driven by greed and pathological liars run our country.

It is getting closer and closer, they cannot hold it down forever. The world is awakening, YouTube, Twitter and increasingly SA is full of the truth that is repelling that vileness falling form the sky of NYC, COL and Geneva foolishness.

    U/E 6%? Gold 1,275? Stocks at 5 years high?

It's all just a joke. Thats fine, every day we grow more informed and participate less and less in this ponzy scheme joke of an economy.

Go to work, pay half your paycheck in taxes, then what you are left with is worthless from inflation and people tell you its your fault. Its a massive game of mental illness, greed, sociopaths, liars and generally some well meaning, but tricked individuals.

BTW- I am a 23 Y/O college grad, not many helped me to get where I am, hence now I can see the system for what it is. I make great money, work in Fin Serv and am not some crazy conspiracy theorist. You guys who think this system is morally right or sustainable have been duped by the biggest transfer of wealth in history and you deserve to have your children grow up in this filth that you are helping to advance.

Well said, Morrison M...I hope that you are gathering information that will add to our understanding of how to take "the system" down, or to at least get more people working on reform issues. We have to repeal Citizens United, and support candidates who will pledge themselves to fighting the system, and provide protection for insider whistle blowers...big projects that need more young people who "get it", like you.
