No plans to ban McDonald's in Russia

Despite the closing of three McDonald's (NYSE:MCD) restaurants in Moscow, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich says Russian authorities are not planning on closing the chain in the country.

"No one is talking about it at all (a ban on McDonald's in Russia)," says Dvorkovich. "It has just happened that the inspections were completed at the same time."

The outlets were closed as Russia introduced a one-year ban on agricultural imports from the West in retaliation over U.S. and European sanctions.

Yep, and to prove we don't care we should shut down all McDonalds in the US. Win, Win.

Confirmatory bias in play. Why not just accept ( for benefit of doubt) that Russia is not gonna ban MCD. It is that simple. Russia is a big country just like USA. It is not a household where Putin rules as Obama is not an Emperor here in the USA.

"as Obama is not an Emperor here in the USA." - isn't he?! He's the biggest initiator of the stupidest sanctions against Russia...
Just hope that Putin will be again smarter than Obama and won't support MCD ban.

gibor365 -- I hope Putin is dumber. I wouldn't mind adding more MCD on a good dip.

    It's all good. :)

"No one is talking about it at all" says Dvorkovich.

Right. Means they have been talking about it.

And here I was thinking of adding a little bit more to my MCD. May be best to wait until the next 'bad news' comes out from the Motherland -- and then buy.

MCD should pull out of Russia to deprive Russians of Big Mac.

jj -- how about instead McDonalds puts everything, I mean everything, on their menu for $1.00.

Just have lines, and lines, and lines of Russians lining up to buy, buy, buy.

Then have Putin pull the plug and see what happens.

Workers Unite! A Bolshevik Revolution 2.0!

All because of that Capitalist Dog Dollar Menu!
