Looking back to 1999 - when the Nasdaq first took out 3,000 - Jonathan Cheng notes the big tech firms today look a lot like their counterparts on the DJIA - cash heavy, dividend paying, players in the bond market, and sporting average PEs. One thing that hasn't changed: techs are outperforming -  the Nasdaq up about 15% YTD, vs. 5.8% for the Dow.
