Facebook (FB) says 8M brands have switched to its new brand page format in the 10 days following its introduction. The new pages, which provider more rich-media capabilities and offer Timeline support, are part of Facebook's efforts to convince businesses to spend their ad dollars on the site, rather than simply use it as a free branding tool. That's often easier said than done.
