Cooper Tire & Rubber bought out of Chinese JV

• Cooper Tire & Rubber (CTB -3.2%) JV partner Chengshan Group says it will exercise an option to buy out the remaining shares of a plant in China.
• It's estimated that Cooper will be paid $286M under the terms of the deal.
• Cooper says it will keep a focus in China through its wholly-owned Cooper Kunshan Tire subsidiary.
