Cisco (CSCO) -0.7% after acquiring top set-top box software firm NDS, 3 months after it filed for an IPO. The purchase indicates Cisco is doubling down on the cable infrastructure market at a time when many firms are thinking of selling their set-top box operations. Cisco is touting the ability of NDS' software to bolster its cloud-based Videoscape platform. According to its F-1, NDS had revenue of $477M (+7% Y/Y) and net income of $46.1M in the 6 months ending Dec. 31.
