"Apple has just ushered in the era of the super high-resolution computer display," says James Kendrick, predicting rivals will be forced to match the new iPad's much-praised (I, II) display. Both LCD panel makers such as AUO and LPL, and graphics chip vendors such NVDA and AMD, would benefit if high-res displays proliferate.
