German pilots union declares Lufthansa strike

• Lufthansa (OTCQX:DLAKY) has canceled 48% of its scheduled services, or 1,350 flights, for today and tomorrow as its pilots go on strike.
• German pilots' union VC had called a strike at the carrier for the two days after talks broke down over retirement benefits.
• The cancellations will affect more than 150K passengers.
