Nvidia (NVDA) has rolled out its high-end GTX 680 graphics processor (GPU), the first chip based on its delayed "Kepler" architecture, which uses a 28nm manufacturing process from TSMC (TSM). The launch comes 3 months after archrival AMD released its first 28nm GPU. Nonetheless, AnandTech is impressed with the GTX 680, declaring Nvidia to have regained the performance crown. Are Kepler MacBooks on the way?

I'm still using my "old" GeForce 8800gt with the G92 chip and it plays every game I like at a very nice framerate. I bought it for $25 off ebay, this new GPU will probably sell for $600 and in 2 years sell for $25 on ebay.
