Unisys names new CEO; Weaver to stay chairman

• Peter Altabef, who who previously served as the CEOs of IT services firm Perot Systems (bought by Dell) and point-of-sale hardware vendor Micros (bought by Oracle), is Unisys' (NYSE:UIS) new CEO, effective Jan. 1.
• The mainframe vendor announced in October chairman/CEO J. Edward Coleman would be leaving on Dec. 1. Lead independent director Paul Weaver was named interim chairman and CEO in late November. Weaver will remain chairman going forward.
