The FTC urges Congress to pass Web privacy laws and companies to do more to respect consumer privacy, including with the adoption of "Do Not Track" systems for Web browsers. The commission's proposals came in a 57-page report it published today, but as it has no power to write any rules, it can only hope that firms will play nice.
