VC David Henderson has one word for you: water. Though not historically seen as a growth area, Henderson expects the strains of population growth, climate change, and emerging-markets industrialization to lead to heavy interest in both water infrastructure projects, and new technologies that can boost the availability of clean water. A few water ETFs: FIW, CGW, PHO, PIO.

I somewhat agree with 198... Several years ago, looking for a budding sector and stock to get an early start, I compiled a lot of info re water stocks and etfs. Nada! I will set up a chart re these recommended ideas but I am not expecting an real bullish change in order to invest.

Dominic Greene was early to the potable water thesis in 2008, but his investments were broken up by government intervention. I hope David Henderson has better luck!
