- Jerome Hamilton, formerly "Vice President of Lean Six Sigma Operations, Corporate Quality and Acquisition Integration" at 3M, has been named Stratasys' (NASDAQ:SSYS -4.3%) SVP of global operations. He'll report to COO/CFO Erez Simha, and "support goals to improve manufacturing efficiency, optimize capacity and reduce cost of operations."
- Following a 2014 in which both sales and spending soared, Stratasys and 3D Systems (previous) are each hoping to run tighter ships in 2015. Thanks in part to a string of mergers/acquisitions, each company offers far more products today than it did two years ago.
- Stratasys has sold off towards $70 on what has been a very rough day for high-beta tech names. Shares fell yesterday following a downbeat William Blair note.
