Vimpelcom's (VIP) $6.5B sale of a majority stake in Algerian unit Djezzy 93 to the government takes a twist as a court fines the CEO of the company 93B dinars ($1.3B) in a fraud case that could also lead to a prison sentence, Reuters reports. Djezzy was convicted of "making false statements regarding the import of services."
